Indian Brands At T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies
While Ireland and Scotland are supported by Karnataka Milk Federation’s (KMF) Nandini, the Indian dairy giant Amul sponsors the USA and South Africa.
The countries competing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 have already begun traveling to the USA and the West Indies in preparation for this highlight tournament, which is set to commence on June 2. The bulk of the 20 teams’ shirts have Indian sponsors, according to observers. The majority of the tournament and team sponsors, ranging from Amul to Dream 11, are Indian. While Ireland and Scotland are supported by Karnataka Milk Federation’s (KMF) Nandini, the Indian dairy giant Amul sponsors the USA and South Africa. Furthermore, since 2019, HCL Tech has served as Cricket Australia’s official digital technology partner.
Growth of Indian Brands in World Cricket
Indian companies are supporting international cricket teams more frequently because to a number of advantages, including affordability and potential for uncluttered brand exposure. The BCCI set a minimum price of Rs 350 crore in 2023 for the lead sponsorship rights of Team India. Dream11 paid Rs 358 crore to obtain the jersey rights.
Economical Sponsorship Structures
Moneycontrol reports that at just Rs 2.5 crore per team, Karnataka’s Nandini was able to acquire sponsorship, which puts Indian team funding roughly 196% greater than that of Scotland and Ireland. Along with Pakistan, Ireland, and Canada in Group A, Team India is expected to attract a sizable Indian audience when they play the men in blue.
Estimated Number of Viewers
This T20 World Cup edition, according to Nandini, is expected to draw in over 850 million spectators, giving them a chance to promote their products and brand internationally. According to MK Jagadish, managing director of KMF, “the World Cup is a significant brand-building opportunity, allowing us to promote our brand aggressively,” as reported by afaqs.
Increasing Worldwide Visibility
The USA and the West Indies will share hosting duties for the ninth World Cup. One of the primary objectives of businesses collaborating with multinational teams is to increase their worldwide visibility. Companies want to take advantage of this chance to get as much exposure as possible abroad, especially in the USA market.
